Bri (She/Her) creates a safe and welcoming space for clients of all walks of life. Whether you are a client that is familiar with therapy or if it is your first time attending therapy, the door is open for you. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist, Bri’s clinical experience is interwoven from her years of experience working across the life span. As a therapist, Bri values clients’ identity, voice, vulnerability, and self expression. Humanizing therapy is necessary to unload the many boxes that society often puts us in.
As A Therapist
Bri’s approach is warm, eclectic, humorous, and collaborative. Bri Invites clients to step into their authentic selves and to make themselves comfortable without the constraints of masking. As a creative and neurodivergent clinician, Bri is passionate about creating a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported. She enjoys working with older adults as they navigate life transitions and the changes that come with aging. Supporting young adults who are building confidence in understanding their emotions, navigating difficult moments, and improving interpersonal communication through DBT skills application. Bri is especially passionate about supporting BIPOC clients in exploring their cultural identities, reconnecting with their strengths, and cultivating a deeper sense of self-empowerment. Across her work, she finds joy in helping clients to improve their executive functioning, reconnect with meaningful activities, and discover what helps them feel more grounded and connected to themselves.
Background
Bri earned her Master of Arts in Counseling: Art Therapy at Adler University and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Bri has a passion for working with BIPOC communities, the older adult population, caregivers, young adults, and creatives. Prior to coming to LifePath, she had experience working in older adult day centers as well as years of experience working in higher level of care at an established partial hospitalization program as a DBT trained individual/group art therapist providing trauma informed therapy for clients with trauma and anxiety/mood disorders. Bri also has a special interest in bridging the gap within Alzheimer’s/dementia care. Providing comfort through the uncertainty and transitions that can come with a diagnosis, while creating space for connection, understanding, and dignity throughout the journey.
